Ralph G. Salinas was born February 11, 1930 to Pedro Salinas and Josefa Garcia Salinas in Caldwell County, Texas and went to join our Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 4, 2018.

A loving husband, caring father, affectionate grandfather, and much more, Ralph was a hardworking man who loved his family and was always willing to accept friends into his home.

Ralph worked for many years and retired as a truck driver for the City of Austin.

He was a cowboy who enjoyed shooting and loved watching old western films. More than that,...

Ralph G. Salinas was born February 11, 1930 to Pedro Salinas and Josefa Garcia Salinas in Caldwell County, Texas and went to join our Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 4, 2018.

A loving husband, caring father, affectionate grandfather, and much more, Ralph was a hardworking man who loved his family and was always willing to accept friends into his home.

Ralph worked for many years and retired as a truck driver for the City of Austin.

He was a cowboy who enjoyed shooting and loved watching old western films. More than that, he enjoyed being with his family and taking family trips to visit relatives out of town.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; his 8 siblings, Victor Salinas, Pete Salinas, Domingo Salinas, Eloy Salinas, Jimmy Salinas, Angelita Mireles, Lela Lozano, and Elvira Gomez; and his son, Edward Salinas. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Louise Milicia Salinas; children Ralph Salinas, Jr., Joe Salinas and wife, Esmeralda, Andy Salinas, Rebecca Moreno and husband, Robert, Sr., and Gina Martinez and husband, Ernest; grandchildren, Melissa Salinas-Merrick, DeyAna Martinez, Jessica Salinas, Joe Salinas, Jr., Rita Marie Salinas, Edward Salinas, Jr., Robert Moreno, Jr., Albert A. Moreno, Joseph A. Moreno, Thomas A. A. Moreno, Andy Salinas, Stephanie Harrison, and Anthony Martinez; 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. directly after the visitation in the Chapel with a Recitation of the Rosary recited by Deacon Ralph Arevalo to begin followed by a Celebration of Ralph's Life led by Pastor Robert Moreno, Sr. Interment to follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.

Honoring Ralph as pallbearers will be Robert Moreno, Jr., Albert A. Moreno, Joseph A. Moreno, Joe Salinas, Jr., Andy Salinas, Edward Salinas, Jr., Anthony Martinez, and Thomas Moreno.
