Marilyn Joyce Williams was born March 24, 1951 to the Union of the late George Arnold and late Lucy Mae Washington in Austin, Texas.

She departed this life April 18, 2017, 5:10 PM at the St. David's Medical Center, Austin, Texas.

Marilyn attended Austin public schools and graduated from Anderson High School (Old Anderson) 1969. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, Texas and later earned an Associate Bachelor's Degree from Huston Tillotson College, Austin, Texas and attended Parke College, Camp Mabry Military Base, Austin, Texas. Marilyn attended Austin public schools and graduated from Anderson High School (Old Anderson) 1969. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, Texas and later earned an Associate Bachelor's Degree from Huston Tillotson College, Austin, Texas and attended Parke College, Camp Mabry Military Base, Austin, Texas. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Marilyn united in Holy Matrimony with Harry J. Williams, May 22, 1971. To this union two sons were born --Harry J. Williams, Jr. and Keith E. Williams.

Marilyn retired from Lockheed Missiles and Space Corporation, Austin Division after 10 years of service.

Marilyn accepted Christ at an early age and united with Sweet Home Baptist Church, Austin, Texas and later united with New Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church, Austin, Texas under the leadership of Pastor A. R. Evans, Sr. Marilyn served New Lincoln in many ways -foremost as the church secretary for 15 years and as deaconess of husband Deacon Harry J. Williams, Sr. She served faithfully at New Lincoln until her failing health and passing.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: a devoted and loving husband Harry J. Williams, Sr.; brother, Lawrence Ray Arnold; two sisters -Margie Nell Harrell (Donald) and Jessie Mae Moore - all of Austin, TX. Sons: Harry James Williams, Jr. (Sheila) of Houston, TX and Keith Edward Williams, Sr. of Austin, TX; granddaughters -- Ebony Maxwell (Brandon) and Keira Joyce Williams of Austin, TX; grandsons -- Keith (KeKe) E. Williams, Jr., Dante Gordon of Austin, TX and Joshua M. Williams of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren: Keiara, Keanna and Kemoni Williams and Braelyn Curtis - all of Austin, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
