It is with great sadness that we announce Carmen Garza Gonzalez of Round Rock, TX died peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the age of 86.

Carmen was born in Three Rivers, TX, to Federico and Cruz Garza on April 17, 1931. Carmen is remembered as a devoted wife who supported her husband's endeavors by managing Decorative Molding Inc. and helping him become a Deacon. She is also remembered as a dedicated mother of seven who fully supported all her children's educational, sports, and musical activities. She was a cafeteria attendant for...

It is with great sadness that we announce Carmen Garza Gonzalez of Round Rock, TX died peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the age of 86.

Carmen was born in Three Rivers, TX, to Federico and Cruz Garza on April 17, 1931. Carmen is remembered as a devoted wife who supported her husband's endeavors by managing Decorative Molding Inc. and helping him become a Deacon. She is also remembered as a dedicated mother of seven who fully supported all her children's educational, sports, and musical activities. She was a cafeteria attendant for the Austin Independent School District as well as a Nanny to Michael for several years. Carmen was very active at St. William Catholic Church in Round Rock, as a member of the Spanish church choir and serving with The Guadalupana Society.

Carmen is survived by her siblings Andres Garza, Paul Garza, Suzanna Avalos, Yolanda Trejo, Dolores Trejo; and her children Virginia (Antonio), John (Laura), Julian (Linda), Rose Anna, and Jaime (Silvia). She is also survived by her grandchildren Alexandria, Esmeralda, Catarina, Alfred Jr., Sera, Monica, Michele, Jaime Jr., and Gabriel; and great-grandchildren Deacon John, Isaiah, Elena, Ariel, Joe, Francisco, Alicia and Victoria.

Carmen is preceded in death by her husband Deacon John C. Gonzalez Jr., children Robert and Alfred, parents Federico Garza and Cruz Martinez; and siblings Brigido Garza, Santiago Garza, Isabel Terrazas, Irenia Garza, Manuela Canales and Adela Matias.

The pallbearers are Alfred Gonzalez Jr., Alexandria Pizano, David Reyes, Fernando Garcia, Michele Stewart, and Paul Garza, Sr. Honorary pallbearers include Jaime Gonzalez Jr. and Gabriel Gonzalez.

Burial will follow the service at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks and a reception will follow the burial at St. William Catholic Church.
